《英雄聯盟》北美職業戰隊 FlyQuest 的上路選手 Bwipo（Gabriël Rau）近日在 Twitch 直播時一番言論在歐美社群炎上，他認為女性在生理期時「不應該打職業比賽」，發言被批評為帶有性別歧視，最終戰隊對他祭出禁賽與扣獎金的處分，Bwipo 昨（10）日終於發文公開道歉。

Bwipo 直播先提到女性在電競領域缺乏支持系統，隨後卻以「女性的生理構造與男性不同」為由，聲稱「男人打遊戲時也會因為傾斜心態（tilt）而崩潰，如果一名女性在『不對的那個時期』打比賽，我認為她根本不該上場。」

Bwipo 還以過去同居女性的經驗佐證，說自己觀察到對方會因為小事容易煩躁，並強調「這不是性別歧視」。

失言片段的剪輯影片最初沒有受到太多關注，被網友轉到 Reddit 重新引起關注，並與 Bwipo 近期和 100 Thieves 上路選手 Dhokla 的賽場爭執一起被熱議，引爆更大風波。

對於 Bwipo 的言論，《英雄聯盟》資深主持人 Sjokz 在 TikTok 直言是「無知而危險的言論」，她反駁道「女性在月經期間依然能打破奧運紀錄、攀登高山、工作超過 24 小時，甚至同時還要照顧孩子與長輩。說月經是『不對的時間』，這實在太荒謬。」

LTA 北美賽區的官方賽評 Azael 譴責 Bwipo 言論是「長久至今我聽過最愚蠢且危險的看法」，他呼籲大眾停止這種對女性玩家的負面刻板印象。退役名將 Doublelift 也加入批判行列，表示此言論嚴重打擊電競的多元化。

事件越燒越大後，FlyQuest 戰隊官方推文聲明，認定 Bwipo 的發言具性別歧視，與戰隊核心價值相悖，官方強調「任何可能讓年輕女性放棄追逐職業選手夢想的言論，都是對電競未來的傷害。」

官方決定：

Bwipo 將被禁賽，無法參加接下來 LTA 季後賽的下一輪比賽。

他在本賽事的獎金將全數捐贈給支持女性遊戲社群的公益組織。

戰隊旗下的女性與性別多元分隊 FlyQuest RED 被點名作為團隊價值的實踐代表。

雖然部分觀眾認為處分過輕，因為 FlyQuest 即使派替補上場仍被看好能晉級，但也有人認為，若在世界賽前就永久除名，對其餘四位努力一整年的隊友過於不公。

在事件持續延燒後，Bwipo 昨日於社群平台發表道歉：「大家好，我知道自己搞砸了。我的言論對女性，包括身邊親近的人，都充滿無知與不尊重。我向所有被我傷害的人道歉，也後悔沒有利用我的社群去支持女性，反而助長仇恨與性別歧視。我會反思、傾聽，並努力做得更好。」
